Sekepal Aspal Indonesia: Motoart Exhibition is an exhibition which will showcase Indonesia’s finest modified two wheeled machineries, artworks, and hidden gems, in this so-called counter culture lifestyle. This one day exhibition we be held at Kopitiam Tan, SCBD, in the heart of Jakarta, on Sunday, Februari 24th, 2013. The show will bring you Indonesia’s finest wrench wreckers, photographers, and artist, such as Veroland from Kickass Choppers, Didot from Retrogrades Slaughterhouse, photos from Arif Syahbani and Dex Bahjanoon, and artists such as Rio and Wev2K. The full support from friends and vendors such as Rocket Company, Troupe Brut Rides, Altos, and Mas O Menos paint shop will definitely brought the party to life.
The event will kickstart at 10.00 for those who wants to join the short city ride. The meeting point is at Lawless Jakarta store, Kemang, and finish at Kopitiam Tan, SCBD, where all the riders can witness the exhibition. Food and drinks can be bought at the venue. Around 16.00 we will continue with some live art performance, live music performance by Jakarta’s finest delta blues musician, Adrian Adioetomo, and other band.
Sekepal Aspal 2013 is going to have a photo contest via Instagram and Twitter to win the prize of Rp.500.000 cash and G-Shock wrist watch. Shoot anything than you find interesting at the exhibition, upload it on your Instagram or Twitter, mention @lawless_jkt and @kopitiam_tan, put hash tag #SekepalAspal13. We will select and announce the winner at the end of the event.
Sekepal Aspal 2013 also going to give some goodies to ‘the coolest bike in the parking lot’. The goodies are from Dickies and Penny Jakarta. Winners will also be announced at the end of the event.
We would like to invite fellow enthusiasts to come, enjoy, and gain something new to broaden their two wheeled perspectives in this world we’re living in. Hopefully, more people will appreciate those busted knuckles with more respect and acknowledgement.

Sebuah film semi dokumenter tentang budaya custom roda dua dan perjalanan yang tak terlupakan. 1000 Kilometer mengisahkan tentang 3 teman baik yang terinspirasi oleh Sekepal Aspal photography book dan memutuskan untuk melibas jalanan Jawa sampai Bali untuk menemui secara langsung beberapa tokoh yang terdapat di dalam buku itu. Film ini menggabungkan komprehensi sejarah budaya custom roda dua lokal dan modernisasinya, dengan keseruan petualangan khas Indonesia dan latar alamnya yang indah.
